LMCs have been in existence for more than a hundred years to represent general practitioners and their practices by providing a strong local voice for the profession. This means promoting high quality practice, engaging with both NHS management and secondary care, and being there to provide support for those who are in difficulty.
In a constantly changing NHS LMC have been the most stable of organisations and will endeavour to continue to be so.
