Legionella Risk Assessment & CQC

By | 2 July 2013

The LMC understands that some practices are concerned that they need to undertake a complex risk assessment for Legionnaires Disease that might include employing an outside agency.

The GPC/BMA is quite clear that this is not required for general practices and this has been discussed with CQC at a national level.

The LMC is going to meet with local representatives of CQC shortly and would suggest that practices wait until after this meeting before arranging any risk assessment.

If this causes you a problem with CQC or their representatives then please let the LMC know and we will address this on your behalf.
